Covid-19 Relief through Fashion with CovidWears

by | Aug 16, 2021 | Podcast

Amidst the COVID-19 crisis, three young women were determined to collect community resources and provide for the city that had given them so much and formed CovidWears. The three co-founders of CovidWears speak to Pavan Lohia about the impacts of their company has made on COVID-19. In this episode, the three co-founders will also be sharing details of how they launched a new business at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and each of their individual stories and experiences. Pavan and them discuss the impacts of how they are reshaping a public health crisis through a fashion company and charitable organization, and what they anticipate as they continue to grow. As best friends, roommates, and lovers of New York City, CovidWears was created as fundraising platform to address the shortage of ventilators, antibody testing, and PPE that plagued the Mount Sinai Health System in New York City. But, since their launch CovidWears has expanded its reach to new cities and healthcare systems. CovidWears began as an avenue to spread resources and positivity during this volatile time period. Today, it has grown into a larger platform composed of a passionate team of individuals providing donations and resources to communities across the nation.
